A group practice of radical listening.
Here's the premise: a small group gathers. Everyone writes down one to three albums they'd love to share. The papers go into a hat. Someone draws one — and whatever comes out, that's what we listen to. Together. In full. In silence.
No explanations beforehand. No phones. No skipping tracks. Just radical acceptance of whatever the music is, and whatever it brings up.
I've run Album Soundbath sessions in living rooms and on farms, with jazz and hip hop and genres that surprised everyone in the room. What keeps happening, every time, is that people leave calmer, more connected, and a little more open than when they arrived.
